Some actual helpful help from someone more well informed would be much appreciated. Select the keychains you want, then press and hold the Option key and drag the selected keychains into another folder to copy them to the folder. However this is useless advice since the guide says to use this "import from" option which is simply not there! This question has been asked here before but the only response was to follow the Big Sur support manual more closely. Is there a way to get this working again or have Apple deliberately removed this feature.although the Bur Sur support manual says it's still there. I would primarily like to transfer passwords not bookmarks but unless I'm missing something, it seems the required option is no longer there. But when I look for the "Import From" option in the file menu of Safari 14.0.3 in Big Sur, all I see is import bookmarks and export bookmarks!! So I was going to temporarily install chrome and import from Brave to chrome and then import from chrome to safari (ridiculous but apparently necessary). On the new Apple, open keychain choose File add keychain, navigate to the Safari.keychain-db on the usb stick. But on the old iMac, where Ive selected 'Local Items' (unlocked) and'Passwords,' in the 'File' menu, 'Export Items' is greyed out. The password you will need to enter is the local password account, not the new password you created for the Safari keychain.Īfter completion of copying all Web Form account data to the new Safari keychain, go toĬopy the Safari.keychain-db to a usb stick.
